10:23 PM
The phone rang all but once, as the redhead reached in her pocket to see what's up. A text message from tonight's meal. She signaled for him to come over. Yet another man to fool. They walked over toward the darker end of the street, near the entrance to one of the alleys.
"You bring the money?" "Ah, twenty-five thousand yen. You can't beat that. What do you say?"
She glanced over toward the darkness of the familiar alley, "Uh, why don't we go over here?" Leading him into the darkness of the alley, where only occasional light rung through. The perfect place to keep a secret. She looked up at him innocent and girly. What a sucker he was to buy it. "Well, I say..." Her right hand held gently behind her back, she summoned Hagen no Senshoseki and returned to her normal behavior, revealing the claw. "... Let me wake you up from dreamland."
The man, visibly shaken, took a step back as she taunted him with the weapon. Unfortunately for him, there were people approaching from behind him. He felt himself bump into something, then the breathing over his shoulder. Struck with fear, he hesitantly glanced at Nao and turned around to see what it was, and there was seven other people waiting to give him a beating. "W-what's going on?!"
"... Get 'em, guys."
10:33 PM
Their victim of tonight, now on the ground, immobilized not only by fear, but by some strange webbing he was caught in. Of course, in Nao's book, he was completely deserving of what took place in the alleys. The members of the gang either agreed with her, or didn't care on way or another, as long as they got their fair share of the cash. "I'll let you off with a warning, gramps. Give us the money we asked for, and we won't get rid of you the way we planned."
Taking a step back, she noticed she had come across his wallet, and bent down to grab it. She flipped through, nonchalantly, until she noticed a few pictures. A little girl with pigtails. It was obvious this little girl was his own flesh and blood. Disgusted, she emptied to contents of the wallet and dropped it next to his head. "You make me sick to my stomach, old man. You better let this be a life lesson, or the next time you'll really get it."
The rest of the gang started grabbing what money the could from the ground, like a pack of hungry wolves. They were symbolic to society - hungry, ready to back stab anyone to get what they desired. Cash. Power. It was a dog-eat-dog world out there, especially with the increase of crime going on late at night in Karakura Town. "What now, boss?"
"Go on without me. I'll meet up with you guys later on." No arguments there. They all scattered, as Nao stepped away from the man helplessly captured, and watched the opening of the alley. She had company. Oh, wouldn't this be fun? Was it the police again, or just some do-good commoner looking for some action? She observed with confidence, hands on her hips, watching with a faint smirk.

Hmm what time was it? Kaito wasn't really sure and so he reached inside his pocket to grab out a phone. He eyes reflected at the time that was programed into it. Ten already huh? He had been walking around town all day to find out what in the world a Quincy is and all he got was that their kanjin meant 'Destroyer' whatever that was even suppose to mean in the first place. He wasn't sure at all but it didn't help him. There were no information on them in any public library or at least the ones that he had spent his time in. Really, this was just a pain for him right now. Then again it wasn't like he had much to spend his time on anyway. He was never really motivated for his club nor was he motivated too see his parents at home. It was the reason why he had ate out tonight after all. He shoved the phone back into his pockets before he take a look around. Even though it was late, cars were still zooming by and people were still walking. Although it wasn't much compare to day time or even during the afternoon. None of the people interested him though, after all they live in reality and he couldn't say he liked that place too much. It was far too annoying for him to enjoy it after all. He continued to walk down his current path, his mind wondering if maybe he should had done something else. Maybe he should go home now? Nah, he really rather not, his parents live there after all. What to do, what to do. The libraries were closed right now along with the bookstores. He really doubt this place have anything to offer him and he didn't have anything to give to that arrancar. His face showing some annoyance he just continued to walk not sure and not caring about his destination. Which of course was strange seeing that it was dark at night but then again, he was always strange since he was different from other people. Yet, he didn't mind it at all, in fact he actually likes it. Since he never liked being the same as them, those annoying people that can never shut up even for a tiny second of time. Soon in his path though he saw a girl that stood out in the night. Her hair in contrast with him was red, to be exact thanks tot he darkness of the sky, it looked crimson. The color of blood that was in the alley. There were other people there too but they didn't stand out. Even more though was that there was someone on the ground. Another gang war? Well he had nothing else to do so he might as well observe it. "Go on without me. I'll meet up with you guys later on."The one with red hair has spoke, from the looks of it she must had been the leader. The voice had to belong to a girl too. A girl for a leader? Well this was the first time he had heard about this but that wasn't really amazing. He never kept up with the news when it came to reality. Her voice sounded familiar but he couldn't remember where he had heard it from. She probably was just one of those people in school that he passes by sometime most likely. Soon most of her gang left and the boy hide behind a wall. As their footsteps were out of earshot, he walked over to the alley to find the girl still there. The man that was on the ground was also gone now. Really, people would tear each other up for anything. Even though he saw the redhead, he didn't really feel scared. That might had been the fact that he had survived a near death experience though. "Who are you?"

Oh, a boy was it? Light blue hair, most certainly contrasting with her own deep crimson-colored head, and not to mention a stern looking faces. Not knowing who he was exactly, she obviously didn't know his name. He didn't exactly look familiar either. Perhaps he was one of the upperclassmen to that school she was supposed to attend on a daily basis? Seeing as how she didn't know him already, he seemed quite unimportant. Just a little slice.
But just wait, it got better. It seemed Glasses-Boy actually had some guts, approaching her into the alleyway. Not only that, but he actually asked her who she was! For him to walk over to anyone else and do such a thing, he could've been mistaken for a witness and hence, brutally beaten. Of course, Nao was not a complete sponge brain, so she would acknowledge his presence. No violence just yet, but oh, how she loved the taste of battle.
"Oh, look at this kid! You're approaching me, asking who I am? Shouldn't you be gettin' home by now?" Sarcastically she responded, amused at this act of his. No, she wasn't going to just outright tell him her name, not unless he was looking to be a victim of those claws of hers. Julia still laid hidden in the darkness of the alley, as was Hagen no Senshoseki still materialized, the nails themselves retracted now. Was he looking for trouble?
My my, this kid is amusing. He's got nerve too.
[Eh, sorry, weak post]

{It's okay, mine isn't that much better.} "Oh, look at this kid! You're approaching me, asking who I am? Shouldn't you be gettin' home by now?" The only response Kaito had gave the girl was that he arch his eyebrow. Wast here someone there or was she talking to herself? No, she probably was talking to him too just in a third person short of a way. That was until her second sentence that is. He didn't do much but that might had been because he was never much for expression or even talking that much. It's funny though, to see who she was telling him to go home. She was either older than him or she didn't respect him at all. From the fact that he had seen her with a man on the ground a moment ago, chances are, she didn't respect him. He couldn't say that it affected him much though since he doesn't really care about her much either. It wasn't that amazing seeing that he doesn't care about anything much besides spirits. Minato had surely go to him. "I'd rather not." he replied getting straight to the point. He didn't feel like making a comeback at her words, he was never one to get angry with words alone. Actually, he usually doesn't even get angry int he first place. It was one of those strange characteristics that he has. He still stared at her, his eyes unrelenting. She was most likely just another gang member, sure she might be the leader but it looks like she only fight in the dark. Guess it would help her be more discrete that way. It was most likely because of that she had decided to go ahead and fight int he night. What he didn't understand is why did she needed all the other people. If she was the leader she shouldn't need much help to fight an unsuspecting citizen. Even more was that she wasn't dirt or anything. Her clothes weren't exactly something that was elegant but it didn't look bad. It looked like something anyone else would wear so why did she fight? Was she just bored? He had to resist the urge to roll his eyes at that thought after all if he did and she caught him, she might just get the wrong message.

This kid had no sense of humor. In fact, his personality altogether seemed rather bland to her, all too serious. He just stared, his expression changing only with the movement of an eyebrow. How dull. Oh well, maybe he'd be more interesting if she cracked him open with more inquiring questions. After all, it wasn't his business to get involved in what was going on. IF that was his intention.
"Heh, suit yourself," she shrugged carelessly, "I could really care less what you do. BUT, you did come up to me asking who I was, so I'm naturally obligated to ask... do you even have a reason to be here?"
What did he want anyway? It was the first time someone approached her after committing crimes with the gang, save for the cops, so what drew him to the situation? It was possible that the reason behind his motives was sheer curiosity, but who said she could be so sure. He could be working undercover. Then again, he looked to be a high school student, though she couldn't recall ever seeing him around. Not that a truant like her would have a high chance of such anyway.
By the looks of it, he didn't appear to be a threat, but it seemed he possessed a tough shell. Attempting to torment him wouldn't be a very compelling experience on her part. She'd probably loose interest in this situation quite rapidly, and it was showing. Her left arm fell from her hips, her right hand itself traveling across her waist to hold the former in place. Perhaps a question of those claws of hers would arise. After all, having powers like that weren't exactly normal.
What's going through this boy's head?

"I could really care less what you do. BUT, you did come up to me asking who I was, so I'm naturally obligated to ask... do you even have a reason to be here?"Okay, this girl didn't seem like the one to think before she talks. Either that or she just doesn't like the answer he had given her. He wasn't really sure since he doesn't really deal with thugs much before. Now that he thought about it, this was most likely his first time ever. He never exactly walk around this late at night much. He was usually at home by now and ignoring his parents so this was already out of his normal routine. He stood there still and wondered how he should answer this one. He didn't really have a reason to come here, he just did. Maybe he should lie and say that he was curious about a rumors of gangs. No that would just mean death right there. Then there was the idea of just running away but she might give him a chase. He had a cellphone with him so he could secretly call the police, that idea actually didn't sound so bad. Even then, he would have to keep her occupied. Wait, why would he want to call the police? This whole thing has nothing to do with him, he didn't know this girl, he didn't know the man nor any of the thugs that were more like wolves to him. Sure it was a citizen's duty but he could really care less. After all, it was a duty he never agreed to, it was forced on him. Even more was that he doesn't care if the girl continued this or not. It was not something that perked his interest or at least not yet anyway. "Just bored and I heard something here." he answered her question while trying to hide as much of the truth as possible. One of them being the fact he hid the part where he had seen her thugs and how they grab a man's money. To him though at least the guy was lucky even if the man himself didn't think so. Since, at least he got his life back, he could just work for the money again. One night without food doesn't kill a person and if it does, he could always go to a friend's house to eat. That is to say if he even had any friends to begin with. His eyes stared at the girl for a small moment. She probably doesn't have any either. Not with the fact that she had to help thugs rob an old man of the little money he had. That was the one problem with thugs really, they didn't too small. Citizens that everyone pretty much didn't know doesn't get them much money that is unless they call for a ransom. Then again that would make attention go towards them and lets not forget the chances of going to jail or her case juvie. "Now may you tell me your name?" he asked. Although the words might had been impatient, his voice and tone wasn't, they were in their usual monotone. He was practically a robot whenever he talked.

"Just bored and I heard something here."
Now it was her turn to exchange an expression with him, one eyebrow lower than the other, the faint smirk still remaining. She was amused, but she was also in disbelief. He didn't actually expect her to fall for a lame excuse like that, now did he? Because if he honestly did, he was definitely making it apparent that he thought of her as someone with a brain as dense as a sponge. In that case, he would have it in for him. You could call this girl foolish, but stupidity was on a whole other level that she herself was much higher than.
"Oh, really? I'm sure there's more to in than that."
To even come near the alleyways so shortly after crimes have taken place within them by the hands of a gang, yes, boredom and curiosity can strike. More often than not, however, there is a reason behind it. Striking a conversation with the leader of said gang just afterward was like asking to be beaten to a bloody pulp. Was this kid really that naive? He didn't seem to understand what he'd be getting himself into, especially asking her name out of the blue. What, was he nuts? And he didn't seem to let off either. He asked once more what her name was, who she was. He wanted to report her to the authorities, didn't he?
"Why so eager to know, glasses-boy? You're not trying to turn me in, are you?" She closed her eyes for a moment as she responded to him with her own questions. The was nothing but amusing to her, this boy and his glasses. His motives were questionable because of his own silence, but hey, dealing with him could be fun. Maybe she could piss him off a little, just to see how he'd respond...

"Oh, really? I'm sure there's more to in than that."Kaito stood still neither conforming her suspicion nor shaking it off. She could think whatever she wanted, besides he had a feeling either way she would keep onto that. In fact part of her might had been right, if he was curious he would had most likely not come towards her but rather stalk her or something. It might due to the fact that he wasn't that kind of a person nor does he really have the time for it right now that he decided to approach her. The reason why though was actually because he was curious, or at least that was part of the reason why. After all he was bored and he didn't want to go home at the moment, not with those people there anyway. Those people that whose blood he was cursed with. Even though it sounded like teen angst, something not man would expect from the boy, he did hated his parents that much. "Why so eager to know, glasses-boy? You're not trying to turn me in, are you?"He shook his head denying her accusation, he didn't need her name. Rather he could easily just go to school and ask fo a girl with her description, crimson red hair was not something normal after all. Then he could simply turn it to the police or he could just take a photo of her. Besides, even if he turned it into the police he had a feeling he would be called up for witness and he had no time in court. He never like court anyway, as the lawyers didn't need skills, they just needed a biased judge. It was how it always was, being a lawyer simply never needed skills, at least not in his eyes anyway. They simply far too paid for something that they don't even need to lift a finger for. Although it did amuse him to see he ask that question. He couldn't blame her for asking it though but still, it's funny to see how people always interpret the worst of things. They always have though haven't they, it was just in their nature. Maybe it was their way of not letting their guard down or something, to always keep it up and protect themselves. It was how he usually was anyway, which might be why the students don't tend to come up to him. Well that and the fact that he was always quiet, far too quiet for anyone to try to come up to him. "Are you that afraid of the cops?' he asked slightly provoking her. He doubt it work though but the thought did interest him.

Oh, this situation was going stale for Nao. This boy had no responses, so short of words. He was no fun at all. He held his own without putting any flavor into the conversation. She was quickly growing weary of speaking with him and his blank stare. The apathetic nature of some people in the world, it made even the most wildly appearing people seem completely tasteless in terms of personality. As if they didn't take life seriously. Such a lack of care for anything made her want to drive a stick through their head. Boredom seemed overwhelming when she came in contact with these sorts of people.
"No response, eh? Don't ignore me, now," she continued in her usual tone, not speaking all too seriously. She didn't really care whether or not he answered her.
"Are you that afraid of the cops?"
What nerve this kid had, asking such a question. On second thought, maybe this could be a tad bit entertaining. Clearly amused at his attempts, she couldn't help but let that smirk reach its potential, even snickered a little. "You trying to scare me? Don't start acting all tough," she remarked slyly, bringing her left claw up to her face, "Normal humans don't have a chance against this power. Little shrimps like those don't make me cower over in fear."
Sadly, what she said was the complete truth. No normal person would be able to fend off the attacks of their spiritually-powered counterparts in most cases. Why would Nao be an exception to the rule? Still, this boy didn't seem to be like any other person either. Whether or not he was, it wouldn't surprise nor scare her. After a moment, she took the claw away from her face and placed it in its former position.

" You trying to scare me? Don't start acting all tough" Don't have to, those were were the words that Kaito wanted to say but he was able to stop himself. He knew that one wrong move could either get him badly inured or worse dead. He wasn't really sure which one it was though but he really prefer to have neither of them. They sounded far too painful for him after all that he really rather just avoid those two conclusions. It was almost like he was on thin ice or something and he had to make sure that he crossed it slowly and thinking thoroughly about each step. It wasn't going to be easy though seeing that the girl was willing to beat up someone in a dark alley. He was sure that she wouldn't hesitate to beat him up either. Although her next move made the boy go into a shocked state. She had a claw! It didn't look like a normal claw either, it was obviously from the fact that don't give those out to teenagers. Of course there was the chance of her stealing it but something was telling him differently. He wasn't so sure what, but something kept on nagging at him, nudging him towards the fact that her hand was anything but natural. His eyes stared at her claws as he tried to analyze and possible and believable reason to how it was there in the first place. That was when it hit him, normal humans can't have those kinds of claws, not even in that design. The only people that can have it would be characters from animes and video games. Well it was that and one other option, someone who was obviously not normal. Could she be a quincy? "Are you a quincy?' he asked, his voice not showing any fear. It might be due to the fact that curiosity had once again got the better of him though. After all the answer to so many of his questions might just be in front of him. "Can you see spirits?"

Still quiet, huh? He indeed was a hard one to crack. Either that, or he was desperately trying to hide the fact that he was about to drop a load in his drawers. Ha, how amusing! There was no point in acting, was there? If you were seriously freaked out, why not show it? A quite ineffectual boy he was, with his composed analytical characteristics in play. What made him so... bleak?
"Are you a Quincy? Can you see spirits?"
Was he serious? He didn't know much about them, did he? Although, he looked as if he could be one. He sure had the personality down too. She had to admit, she didn't exactly understand why or how she knew information like this. Perhaps some of the information gathered in her past life stayed with her? Either way, there was something obviously wrong with his question.
"So you know about them, huh? See here, last time I checked, they carried bows. The Quincy aren't the only humans with this sort of power."
She wondered if he himself was one of them, though it didn't seem probable, considering that he incorrectly believed her to be one. He was probably another amateur, if at all. Still, she sensed no danger coming from him at the time. He didn't appear to own a Quincy cross. Was he simply related to one, then? How did he know about them?
"As with your next question... yes, you could say that. I'm guessing you can see them too, can't you? Are you yourself a Quincy?"
