the vizard
"Death -- the last sleep? No, the final awakening."

zanpakutō:
appearance: When thinking of a zanpakuto, one automatically thinks that the weapon is a sword, or katana and that it is located at the waist. Kannon's is the exact same way. How conforming is that? Anyway, it is but a simple katana of four feet in length, sheathed by a roughed up, scratchy leather coating of a scabbard. Ebony in color, the sheath that bears Mahoutsukai is nothing too shabby, but it isn't all that elaborate either. Unless you count a multitude of engravings and designs in the sheath to be extraordinary. Carved into the firm scabbard are pictures you thought you might never see in your lifetime. Just one glance at it, and you could be haunted for the rest of your life. These designs are truly disgusting and are things that are imprinted in your mind for years to come.
Ugly, distorted creatures are scattered upon the spathe, evil grins and malicious intent hidden in their pupil-less eyeballs sear into your very being. Perhaps you aren't as strong minded as you thought. These... creatures are naked to the bone, literally. In some places, there is no skin... just charred osseous matter covered in slight mold and looks as if it could be rotting away. You are sure that if those beasts were standing around you, a macabre smell would accompany their decomposing bodies. Horns stick out of their craniums, the severed heads of some poor unfortunate child stuck upon the very point of it. Just the sight of it would make you throw up. Wow, to think the appearance of this scabbard is the opposite of the vaizard.
A raven black hilt sticks out of the grotesque sheathing. There's nothing special about the hilt, so we'll just continue on our
shikai:
-- Upon the activation of shikai, the normal four-foot o-dachi grows longer, and wider until it is no longer a simple katana, but a tsurugi. Now gripped with both hands, Mahoutsukai is a large double-edged cleaver sword, split in places down the middle. It gives it... an industrial feel. Anyway, the handle is now several widths smaller and the color of light maroon, the tip of the handle silver. The hilt of it is now rectangular and gray, with noticeable bolts in it here and there. And what of the guard? It dispersed, so it's not there anymore.
abilities:
speed - in shikai, even though the sword is large, Kannon's speed is increased for faster hits.
blood absorption - every hit that the enemy takes, if it breaks skin and blood comes out, Mahoutsukai "absorbs" a small amount of blood, causing the target to get light-headed, and if enough blood is taken, pass out. But his zanpakuto isn't able to absorb enough blood to kill the victim.

bankai:
-- Once the incantation is muttered, the normal o-dachi is transformed into, much like his shikai, a one-edged tsurugi. One may call it a buster sword. The handle is very much like the one in his shikai, but what of the hilt? It is no longer in the proper place, but encased around the base of the sword, and forming a 'fence' around two holes in the base of the blade. The epèe itself can also give him aid to see those behind him, because it's very reflective.
abilities:
summoning - remember the creatures from Mahoutsukai's scabbard? Kannon's bankai is basically a summoning of those creatures. He can summon them and they can attack the target(s). They actually only die with three hits from a normal zanpakuto, but they hurt when they attack.
strength - his bankai seems to up his strength, but it's really speed he needs when he's got a sword that big.

kidō:
hollow mask appearance:
appearance: Like all hollow masks, it is white with a strange resemblance to a face. Think back to Kannon's scabbard. His mask sort of resembles one of those creature's faces. Scary, and distorted, it has the biggest grin you've probably ever seen, with large jagged ends at the bottom symbolizing its teeth. The eyes are slanted, to show that's its probably angry, but with the mouth, it looks as if its having a sadistic kind of fun. Protruding from the top of the skull-like mask, are two horns, rounded at the top and the points facing forward. This was the face of the hollow that merged itself with Kannon all those years ago.[/ul]

"You know what? I really don't know."

personality:
But, he can be mean at times... and when he wants to. He's naturally a nice guy, but, he's a bit of a hot-head. One minute he could be having the nicest of conversations with you... about marimo... and then you accidentally said something you shouldn't have... he will blow up on you. His temper will be unleashed. He will yell, he will throw things, and he will probably unsheathe his zanpakuto. Thank god he usually calms himself down before doing real damage to anyone. He only calms himself down because he doesn't want to unnecessarily hurt anyone on accident. If he didn't care what happened to anyone, who wouldn't calm himself down.
Another object of his anger, is what he formerly was. Shinigami. Speaking of these beings is enough to bring up several hundred years of hatred boiling out of his system. Kannon hates them because when he underwent the process of a shinigami to a vaizard, they didn't help him. In the end, they only shunned him. The anger for these Seireitei dwellers also borders on the line of indifferent and merciless. If he were to happen upon a dying death god that need help, from anyone, he'd just say "Tch. Look who needs help now." and walk away. He'd rather help an arrancar than a shinigami.
Anyway, when it comes to fighting, he will only resort to it if absolutely needed, or a shinigami is bugging the hell out of him. He will also fight if it is for someone he cares deeply about, then he will. If it is for something meaningless like saving a little girl, then no. Now don't think he's heartless to children, he's not. He just won't bother to use his zanpakuto if its a hollow. He'll just use an ability that comes as a perk of being a vaizard. He just finds it much easier and faster. But anyway, he only retaliates if he is attacked first. He is never one to start a battle, unless its a shinigami. Then he'll just attack.[/ul]

role-play sample:
He took a step towards his chair, and was about to take another when something prevented him from moving any further. It clamped around his wrist, and it felt like... a hand. Perhaps she had not wanted him to go? Perhaps she had wanted him to kiss her? No... Who would want to kiss a snake like him? Aside from Yuuki of course... But no. There had to be another reason she was grasping the wrist of his clawed hand like that, why she was holding him in place. Maybe she just wanted the comfort of having someone close by? Yes. That had to be it.
He felt the vibrations echo through the floor. She had gotten up and was walking towards him. He had his back to her, but he could tell. He turned around to tell her that she should at least get some rest. What surprised him was that she was directly in front of him, standing up to her full height yet not exactly reaching his nose. But what mostly surprised him, was what she did next. She had kissed him! So his earlier assumption had been right. She had indeed wanted to osculate. She must have been standing on her tip toes to get her lips to reach his though. But that was beside the point.
He felt... terrible. Not that he hadn't wanted to kiss her, his earlier attempt had proved that, he just felt like he had betrayed Yuuki in some way. Even though she was dead. But at that moment, all dread melted away, leaving behind an unfamiliar feeling. A feeling of disobedience. Not that he was obedient to anyone in the first place, but... he swore that's what he felt. He also felt sparks, a click of sorts. Kazuki bent down into the kiss, his experienced lips pressing into hers.
It was as if the two pairs of lips were made to fit against one another. His clawed hand weaseled its way out of her grip as both of his hands caressed his shoulders, as if holding her in place. He enjoyed this kiss, and somehow regretted not kissing her when he had set her down. He had been missing out that moment, and now he knew what he almost missed. His tongue pushed through her lips, not caring for consent. He craved to explore her mouth. That was all that mattered at that moment.
Kazuki, oblivious to the fact that his orbs had shut, flashed open his eyes, finally realizing what he had been doing. He pulled away, blinking unbelievably down at Ashurii. He couldn't believe himself. Getting pulled into that... and enjoying it as well! He mentally hit himself in the head. Although an emotionless expression remained on his visage, one could still tell he was quite surprised at his actions. "I..." What was he planning to say? The moment he started speaking, the statement had left him.
He was confused, one could tell that easily. He shook his head unconsciously, obviously disagreeing with himself on something. Even Kazuki didn't know what it was. He ceased the shaking of his cranium, allowing his bangs to fall over his eyes. They were concealed from the world at that point. Their crimson depths belonging to scum. No one needed to see those eyes. He partially blamed his eyes for the way Ash had acted, the other part he blamed the alcohol. There was no way she would have kissed him. Who would want to? Unless...
No, it was his eyes. Terrifying all on its own, but inviting people to come closer. The eyes of a monster, he had presumed. His expression was still apathetic, and although unseen, his eyes were half-closed again. "Why did you kiss me...?" He really wanted to know. He had no idea what nonsense might have entered her head and gave her the notion to kiss him. Wasn't he someone people would want to avoid?[/ul]
