Hagi el Dominguez

"Smile. It Confuses People."
name: Hagi el Dominguez
age: Appears to be in his early twenties (Exact age is unknown)
gender: Male
appearance:
Tall of stature, Hagi stands at 6’3 and possesses a highly masculine frame, being slender but possessing enough muscle to give him the body of a professional athlete but not in a way that is over-done and causes him to appear like a bodybuilder. His flesh, oddly soft and flawless for that of a male, is very fair of tone, being as pale as moonlight and slightly waxen but which is, unfortunately, natural for Hagi.
He wears his hair long, falling just past his shoulder-blades in thin curled ringlets, but which Hagi usually ties back into a simple ponytail with the use of a black ribbon, doing so in order to keep his hair from distracting him in his daily activities. Though, the hair nearest to his face seems to always escape its hold and falls across the left side of his face, hair which is of a dark shade of brown, similar to that of chocolate. Hagi’s facial structure is long, narrow and breath-takingly handsome, possessing a strong square jaw, a long utterly-straight and narrow nose, pale plump lips and dark naturally thin eyebrows that are always arched and set close to his eyes. The shape of Hagi’s eyes bare some resemblance to that of felines, framed with unusually long, thick and dark lashes that men don’t often possess, bringing more attention to his hues, which are a shade of green so pale they appear almost grey from a distance. Eyes, which bare a fearsome sense of intelligence beyond that of most individuals and are colder than chips of ice, making it highly difficult to meet his gaze and which have been known to strike intense fear and discomfort into others. Eyes, which ravenously absorb everything around Hagi in but which rarely allow anything to escape their frosted irises.
Clinging to the pale flesh that exists directly beneath Hagi’s left eye, trailing up to the tip of his left ear, is what looks like white bone shaped to resemble thin thorned vines. The lingering shards of all that remains of his old hollow mask, and which is conveniently hidden beneath the hair that constantly obscures the left-hand side of his face. The hole that all hollow and arrancar support, Hagi included, is located in a place upon his body that Hagi rarely ever flaunts in front of others. Just above where Hagi’s naval ends and his manhood begins, centimetres from his hipbone, is where the hole is located and which is easily concealed with the use of pants. And as a member of the vasto lorde, Hagi is marked by a single number that also states his position of power, tattooed into sensitive flesh of his right palm, the lettering bold and black, is the number “three”, marking him at the “Tercera” arrancar, and which he can usually hide from others quite effectively. And because of this, Hagi has a strongly “human” appearance, making it quite simple to get him confused with the human population if he stifles his reiatsu; however there is one key factor of his appearance that even separates him from other hollow. Despite having reached the level of a vasto lorde, not all of Hagi appears human; in fact his right arm still remains exactly the same as it had been during the earlier stages of Hagi’s hollow years. Dark in colour, it resembles a burnt victim’s arm, his flesh hard and of a leathered texture with visible powerful muscle beneath the flesh, his large hand possesses four fingers and one thumb like human hands do, only each finger and thumb is clawed, savage in appearance like some terrible carnivorous beast. This limb acts as a highly effective weapon for Hagi, possessing the same amount of strength and killing force as any zanpakuto and which Hagi uses to his advantage, usually keeping it bandaged in white linen from his armpit all the way down to his fingers, and only ever removing the white linen for combat.
Hagi’s daily attire consists of the sort of clothing people wore in the 1800s. Long, tight-fitting black pants that leave little to the imagination cling to Hagi’s long legs but which suit him perfectly, whilst handsome and obviously expensive Italian loafers protect his feet, black in colour and polished to perfection. His upper body is concealed beneath a baggy spotlessly white shirt, its hem tucked into his pants whilst its sleeves end with white ruffles and its neckline dips to the point where quite a lot of Hagi’s toned chest is exposed, its collar also low. Over this, Hagi wears a black leather overcoat, which is also tight-fitting and falls to his knees, the back parted so as not to hinder Hagi’s movements. Like most arrancar, Hagi is in possession of his own zanpakuto though his, unlike the majority of zanpakuto, does not support the shape and appearance of a Japanese sword; instead it bares the resemblance of a dagger. Small, it allows Hagi to easily conceal it, allowing others to believe that he is unarmed when, in fact, he never goes without his weapon. The hilt of the dagger is narrow and of a metallic substance, cold and hard to the touch and without inscription of depictions of scenes upon it, it possesses a narrow silver guard that resembles its hilt, whilst its blade is of tempered steel, thin and lethally sharp to the point, with a simple ruby drop fixed just below its guard. Despite never being without his zanpakuto, Hagi rarely ever relies on it unless met with a fairly decent opponent, preferring to use his clawed hand as a weapon instead, though will sometimes rely on both at the same time.
Hagi holds himself with calm, relaxing ease but with a subtle hint of flexibility, stating that he is swift of foot, whilst his actual movements appear graceful and as if thought out, never stepping a foot out of place or making a mistake. It is undeniable that out of all the arrancar, Hagi el Dominguez is the most attractive, earning himself not only numerous admirers amongst the hollow population, but also amongst humans and a few shinigami.

True Powers
Hagi el Dominguez has been an arrancar for many years now and in that time gained numerous techniques that not many arrancar have managed to obtain, making him rather powerful, though there is one technique that Hagi possesses that no other arrancar does. This “unusual” techniques is one that he named “Sangre Polita” or just “Polita” for short – translated as “Blood Moth”. Learning to suppress his reiatsu as much as possible in order to avoid detection from those he wanted nothing to do with, Hagi’s reiatsu began to mutilate as a consequence to the pressure he was placing upon it, causing it to gain its own unique life-force, multiplying and growing beneath his flesh. It began to take on the resemblance of palm-sized black-winged moths that possessed, frighteningly enough, mouths of tiny needle-like teeth, which multiplied beyond count, living within Hagi’s body like monstrous parasites. Hagi named them and found that they responded with mindless obedience to his every thought, leaving and re-entering his body through his sweat pores, a painful task that he eventually became accustomed to. These Polita fed on two things: blood and reiatsu. Hagi could use them in numerous ways, such as a means to spy on others, a last-minute defence by manipulating them to take a hit for him and thus sacrifice themselves, or even a form of weapon that savagely bit into his opponents, riding them of blood or reiatsu with the amount varying by just how many Polita were used to attack. The Polita do not possess the power to heal any injuries that Hagi possesses, they also make it so that his reiatsu is almost undetectable to spiritually aware beings, however if Hagi were to crush one himself within his body his reiatsu would increase in strength, becoming more detectable and giving him a rise in spiritual pressure.
ressureción:
In order to activate his ressurecion state, Hagi must draw his dagger-like zanpakuto and run its blade across the hard dark flesh of his hollow-like hand, cutting through his skin and drawing blood, as blood is what his zanpakuto requires, and only his blood seems to work. Whilst doing this, he must mutter the words “Captura, Negro Polita” or, as translated, “Capture, Black Moth”, and then his limit is gone.
The physical change that overcomes Hagi will occur within an instant, faster than the eye can follow. His left arm will become identical to his right arm as his zanpakuto appears to disappear into thin air, turning a dark shade and hardening so that his flesh appears badly burnt, his muscles bulging beneath his skin, whilst his fingers become clawed. From his shoulder blades wings burst out from beneath his flesh, wings that are twice his height as well as width and that resemble the four thick dusty wings of a moth, formed out of a strange, almost leathered, texture that is coal-black in colour. Covered in a strange glittery dust, and which also grant Hagi with the ability of flight. At this point, any shirt that Hagi might have been wearing is completely torn to shreds, flaunting his now hardened and powerfully muscled body and also revealing that every inch of his complexion, excluding his arms, has now taken on an unnatural smoky-black colour, his pants in a similar condition to his shirt. His feet have increased and size and become unnaturally flat, his toes decreasing so that his feet more resemble avian talons, baring painfully lethal claws at his heels and two toes. Two long antennas sprout from Hagi’s temples, dark of colour, whilst his pale green hues bleed blood red and his pupils become slits, the whites of his eyes turning jet-black.
In this form, Hagi can no longer suppress his reiatsu and thus his Polita are unable to exist within his body any longer, fading from existence and riding him of their servitude. His reiatsu levels are at an incredibly high level, making it difficult for others to tolerate it and making it difficult for a shinigami lower than fifth seat to function at their normal level when in his presence. Shinigami lower than tenth seat will crumble to their knees and be rendered immobile, whilst shinigami lower than fifteenth seat will pass out, their own insignificant reiatsu unable to compete with Hagi’s to the point where the crumbling of their spirit forms is a real option. Hagi’s strength and speed are both enhanced in his ressurecion form though; with the loss of his zanpakuto, his attacks are limited to hand-to-hand combat.
This form might rid Hagi of his Polita but it grants him with a different ability, making it so that his very blood is lethally toxic to all but him. Upon entering the body’s blood system, the rare toxin within Hagi’s blood begins to crystallise his opponent’s blood, causing their entire body to crystallise one limb at a time starting from where his blood entered, until his opponent is turned to a crystallised statue and shatters. There is no known cure to Hagi’s toxic blood but it isn’t invincible. If one were to block off the artery which his blood is travelling through, the toxin will have been stopped and made useless, and removing the infected crystallised limb before any other part of the body can become infected is also effective. Draining Hagi’s blood from his victim also works, though clearly takes time and care. The dust that clings to and falls from Hagi’s wings also benefits Hagi, being a form of paralysing drug that gradually takes affect when it comes in contact with his opponent’s flesh, sinking into the pores of their skin and entering their blood system. It eventually affects the muscles and nerves, interfering with their function and making the body slow, heavy and exhausted until movement is impossible.
There is a limited time in which Hagi can keep this form as it requires energy and blood to sustain, seeing as how Hagi’s unique attack works only in the form of his blood, bringing on blood loss and eventually unconsciousness, which would render Hagi unable to fight and return him to his usual form. However, it is possible for him to lengthen his ressurecion state by ingesting blood other than his own to make up for the blood which he has loss, though this only works if he ingests an amount greater than that which he has loss. Upon returning to his usual form, Hagi can suppress his reiatsu once more, causing the moth-like parasites to revive within his body.
"Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold."
personality:
There are many adjectives that could be used to describe one Hagi el Dominguez but the most common one that would be expelled from someone’s lips would be the word “genius”. With a high IQ level and sharp intellectual skills, a sharp intelligence that is reflected in his pale hues, very few can match Hagi when it comes to the power and intellectual ability of the mind, very little within the world remains unknown to the arrancar and he possesses the skill of absorbing foreign information quickly and with little effort. And with his love for knowledge, his intelligence only increases with every day that passes by. But he doesn’t flaunt his intelligence as some others might do, instead pretending to be the average individual in an effort to appeal to others or to escape scrutiny, he is also very good at working others out just from experiencing a brief conversation with them or examining their daily movements and will normally use information gathered for his own personal gain. He is skilful at logical games such as chess and tetris and is a natural strategist.
Having a highly appealing appearance, Hagi is often pursued by females of every kind and the occasional male as well but rather than encourage such attention or discourage it, he does neither. To those who express affection towards him he does not shun, murmuring a short word or sentence of gratitude to any gifts or compliments they might present him with but not showing them any warmth in return. Occasionally he might partake in a brief romance but within days will abandon such a course and become cold to his partner, never satisfied with their company for long, and only adding to his odd behaviour, in terms of affection, is his choice in Fracción. Rarely ever allowing a male hollow to serve him, Hagi has a preference for women, despite them nearly always falling in love with him.
To most, he appears rather kind and friendly, a person who does not take life seriously as well as someone to trust your soul to. A soft concerned voice and a warm friendly smile. However, this is all just a pretence, a ruse that Hagi uses to gain the trust of those around him and thus power over them. In truth, Hagi cares little for anyone other than himself, the many centuries of being a hollow have left his heart as frozen and uncaring as a lump of ice, unconcerned of life or death or suffering or pain. Possessing a hatred for all species, his own included, it isn’t exactly certain as to why Hagi joined the new ranks of Arrancar or why he permits himself to obey the orders of the Primero Zain Ve Alfo, being older than him and, most likely, of similar power, it is a likely possibility that Hagi could have refused, as he did with the primorgen before Zain. The most likely answer would be that he did so for entertainment purposes, for boredom is a fate that Hagi succumbs to with effortless ease and which he despises above all else, his purpose in life being in constant pursuit for life’s pleasures and constant entertainment. And in Zain’s leadership and the revival of the arrancar did Hagi see amusement. As long as he is entertained Hagi will continue with whatever task or interest that he is currently undertaking, however once he begins to lose interest he is quick to abandon that goal, for that reason it would not be completely unheard of for him to aid support to an enemy as quick as he would for an ally, making it difficult to tell where his loyalties lie.
Laziness appears to be a trait that Hagi also possesses, preferring to give a task to someone else whilst observing from afar, or not getting his hands dirty at all. Battle and bloodshed are insignificant and unappealing to Hagi’s mind when compared to lounging around with a book or a game of chess, and on a number of times he has deliberately ignored orders that he considered “strenuous” and taken a nap instead. However, despite this he is very powerful and dangerous, being one of the most powerful arrancar in current existence and should not be trifled with or underestimated. Being intelligent and possessing hollow enhanced strength and speed, Hagi is quite capable in battle, though he prefers direct physical attack to over-use of the different types of cero that hollow have at their disposal. Despite his zanpakuto being in the form of a dagger, Hagi is an expert swordsmanship specialist, earning a good deal of experience as he progressed as a hollow, possessing finely tuned reflexes that enable him to react within a moment to his opponent’s movements as well as being knowledgeable and capable of executing a number of lethal attacks with absolute precision, despite always being in close proximity to his opponent. However, Hagi favours hand-to-hand combat over swordsmanship due to the nature of his zanpakuto and his right arm and is also an expert at hand-to-hand fighting, combining such a skill with his agile speed to make his attacks more lethal. Adding to Hagi’s list of skills is the fact that he is ambidextrous, allowing him to wield weapons in either hand without his proficiency being hindered.
Hagi, like all arrancar and hollow, must feast on others to maintain his power and abilities as well as state of mind, though prefers the taste of fellow arrancar and hollow over human or shinigami souls. He is also capable of ingesting human food, though his tastes are rather expensive, he also enjoys the taste of sake and red wine. Music is a hobby of his and enjoys all kinds, finding that it soothes his mind and restores his calm no matter what situation or state of mind that he is in. He is also capable of playing music himself in the form of a cello which he obtained for himself upon gaining a humanoid form, and his musical abilities rival his skills at combat, being capable of playing any tune by sound alone and memorising it perfectly there after. When not reading or partaking in a game in his spare time, Hagi can be found playing his cello contentedly, the winds that pass through Hunco Mundo baring the sound of his music. Hagi has no memories of life before becoming a hollow, however, when he sleeps, his dreams seem to always be filled with one particular woman, an individual that he does not recall upon awakening.
history:
Hagi el Dominguez came into existence many, many centuries ago as the only son to a minor but well-off family who were the descendents of royalty and thus had connections and common visits with the king and court of their homeland. But back then “Hagi el Dominguez” had not been his name, his birth name having been forgotten within the sands of time. To all he appeared a prize amongst men, being irresistibly handsome and more intelligent than most men of that time, he also had a talent with music that appealed to those around him and had him playing constantly to those at court, his name spread throughout the land. But, for all his talents, Hagi was not the most loving son, unhappy to obey any orders that were placed upon him by his family; he often rebelled and deliberately committed acts that angered and shamed his family, almost resulting in him being disowned on a number of occasions. His looks, intelligence and music often resulted in many women falling in love with him, and there was also the many times that his family had tried to arrange “suitable” marriages for their son, but there was only one woman who Hagi ever loved, a girl of a class much lower than his own with little money to her name and who was considered beneath him socially. But Hagi loved her completely to the point where he made the decision to forsake his name and fortune, running away with her one night with the intention to start their own happy life together. They had been travelling through wilderness by carriage when the event occurred, ice breaking apart beneath horse and carriage as they travelled over a frozen lake, causing them to plunge into frigid frozen water. Hagi must have fallen unconscious for when he awoke he found himself resting beside the frozen lake, terribly alone with a mysterious chain stretching out from his chest. Not knowing where his beloved had gone to, not yet realizing that she must have passed on to the other side with their carriage driver upon their deaths, Hagi immediately began to search for her, never resting as he travelled constantly, shouting her name. As the days went by he began to become overcome with dark emotions such as anger, anguish and fear until eventually his soul chain shattered and he transformed into a hollow.
The next few years remain a mystery to Hagi. Years spent travelling in between the human world and Hunco Mundo, devouring as many souls as he could to try and ease his terrible hunger whilst fighting against and defeating the shinigami that tried to stop them. Developing an intense hatred for the “death gods” who thought it their right to end his existence due to the risk that he imposed upon humans. In his hollow state he still continued to search for his lost love, both loving her and hating her at the same time all the while, but eventually it became too much and he resigned himself to the endless sandy plains of Hunco Mundo where he became a menos, his body merging with hundreds of other hollow. And it was in this state that all memories of his human life, of his very existence left him, as his mind became moulded with the hundreds of others of his kind, his soul ceasing to exist. But it was not to end this way for Hagi who, decades upon decades later, began to slowly regain his conscious thoughts, his spirit stronger than any of the ones that he had merged himself with, causing him to act separately to the other menos until eventually he broke away, evolving from being a menos to become a Gillian.
He was not quite human yet, possessing a monstrous body that was more moth than human with his hollow mask still intact, Hagi discovered that he was a good deal stronger than what he had been before becoming a menos, and that his hollow hole had shifted from his chest to the rather enticing area just below his naval. He had regained human-like thoughts once more and proceeded to give himself a name to replace the one that he had forgotten, calling himself “Hagi el Dominguez”. Unfortunately, the hunger that had been a constant pain since death had only increased in strength, and the souls of humans were no longer enough to satisfy him, his tastebuds finding the taste of hollow flesh more appealing. And with his large wings, which made travelling around Hunco Mundo an easier task, and the toxin that now existed within his blood, killing his kind was not all that difficult, granting Hagi with a reputation that exceeded him and earned fear from others like him. Centuries passed where Hagi continued to grow in strength, his body becoming more human with each murder he committed, until eventually he required a zanpakuto of his own and tore his own mask from his face. Gazing at his reflection, Hagi knew that with the exception of his hollow hole and the remaining pieces of his mask he looked every inch a human man, and he used this to his advantage to draw in hollow and humans alike to feast upon, his thoughts now similar to his human ones only much more intelligent and predatory. In the century that followed Hagi reaching the rank of an arrancar, the shinigami Sosuke Aizen made his first appearance amongst the hollow kind, appealing them to serve him with the offer of power and acceptance and Hagi was both amazed and disgusted at just how many of his kind readily saddled themselves up with the shinigami, not trusting him personally or agreeing with the idea that hollow should become the servants of even one shinigami. As one of the few existing arrancar, it was inevitable that he should also be approached by Aizen, though the old rebellious nature that existed within Hagi stirred and he coldly refused the shinigami, not disguising his hatred or disgust for him. A battle resulted from Hagi’s actions and he was fortunate to only just get away with his life, overpowered by Aizen who used his strange abilities to make it so that Hagi’s right arm was never the same again, transforming it back to its original form when Hagi had been a Gillian.
Resolving himself to hiding beneath the sands of Hunco Mundo, Hagi developed an intense hatred for his kind, believing it to be disgusting that they should all have eagerly given themselves to the cursed Aizen, he who Hagi despised above all else. As he slowly recovered from the vicious injuries that Aizen inflicted upon him, Hagi began to train his body to suppress his reiatsu as much as possible in order to avoid detection from Sosuke or the arrancar and hollow who served him, wishing to have nothing to do with anyone ever again. Such training resulted in the mutation of his reiatsu and the birth of his “Sangre Polita”, which Hagi used to spy on Sosuke Aizen and to keep all who sought him away, ending their lives without mercy or grief. In his solitude, Hagi spent his time playing the cello in which he had stolen upon first transforming into an arrancar, re-learning how to play an instrument with his monstrous right hand, his music echoing for century upon century. His music kept Hagi busy, preventing him from pondering on thoughts of loneliness, boredom and hatred, all which would have proven fatal to the arrancar after an extended period of time. And it was beneath the sands of Hunco Mundo that Hagi remained whilst the battle between Sosuke Aizen and Soul Society unfolded and which led to Aizen’s death, but even though the shinigami had died Hagi’s hatred towards him, the shinigami and his own arrancar did not ease in the slightest.
Many centuries were to pass before Hagi was to emerge from the shadows of Hunco Mundo, drawn out by curiosity and his own dark reasons. For one day, in his exile, a unique arrancar approached Hagi and who managed to defeat Hagi’s Polita upon Hagi seeking to kill the trespasser. This arrancar was Zain Ve Alfo, a powerful arrancar who sought to overthrow Hunco Mundo and become a Vasto Lorde. His personality and goal intrigued Hagi, though he did not react to Zain immediately, his mind considering the new change of events for a long time, so long that Zain had already succeeded in destroying all the past Vasto Lorde and become the Primero himself by the time Hagi reached his decision. But his decision was not to the arrancar’s best interest, being based on the revenge that Hagi had been desiring since Sosuke Aizen’s first appearance and which Hagi had found himself unable to move on from. A form of revenge that would result in the annihilation of not just hollow but the shinigami too, if Hagi had his way. Revenge that would prove just as amusing in obtaining as the results of it would be.
And so, entering Las Noches, Hagi presented himself to Zain and offered his services. Officially becoming the new “Tercera.”
role-play sample:
The room in which the Tercera Espada resided within Las Noches was a spacious domain, its spotlessly white walls and columns stretching towards the dark starless heavens of Hunco Mundo, the white intricate ceiling existing high above to the point where gazing upon it proved some difficulty. The floor was white tile, spotless and well cleaned, and the items of furniture which filled it were flawless white too with the exception of the numerous books which covered the walls, sitting upon shelf after shelf, and the espada himself, dressed almost completely in his accustomed black garb.
He was tall, Hagi el Dominguez was, and every inch the immortalised Adonis from his flawless porcelain flesh to his long curling rich brown hair which fell across the left side of his face and cascaded past his broad shoulders. It was no wonder why so many of the arrancar female population were under his spell, ready to do anything for him in return of a warm dazzling smile or a kind word. He was sprawled across the low white sofa that resided in the room, resting on his side with his knees bent close to his toned chest, his left arm hanging off from the edge of the couch whilst his right arm, heavily bandaged in white linen, rested beneath his cheek, used much like a pillow. He was clearly in deep slumber; his pale eyes closed gently, his toned chest rising and falling in a slow steady motion whilst his plump pale lips were parted slightly, his breathing loud but not quite a snore.
Across the room, tending to the re-sorting of Hagi’s collection of books, was one of the members of his Fracción, her dark hues, framed by white bone, were locked on the espada’s slumbering form with undisguised longing, her task briefly forgotten. Any who might have entered the room at that moment would have effortlessly overheard the uneven pace of her heart, immediately aware of the less than appropriate feelings that she felt towards the espada that she served. A soft sigh left her lips and she was momentarily overcome with the need to stroke one of Hagi’s long dark curls, moving slowly towards him to do just that, unaware of her actions. Suddenly, much to her dismay, Hagi stirred, awakening from slumber, his eyes tightening and his lips closing. As quick as she was able to, the arrancar hurried back over to her task, flustered from embarrassment over what she had just been about to do, and fear of being caught.
In a single fluid motion, Hagi el Dominguez was sitting up right, his long chocolate brown curls unbound and messy from sleep as they framed his face, his green hues tired as he rubbed at them with curled fists, a yawn leaving his lips.
Suddenly, bringing his arms back down to his sides, the espada frowned, his expression dark.
Something that his Fracción did not fail to miss.
“Hagi-sama, is something the matter?” she inquired, immediately concerned. “Was it something that you dreamt of? Did you have a nightmare?”
Realizing just how many questions that she had asked at once, and how stupid she must have sounded, the arrancar fell silent, her face aflame as she dipped her head, afraid to look at the Tercera. Hagi stared at her for a moment, the dark expression remaining, until suddenly he smiled, a smile that was meant to appear sheepish. Running his bandaged hand through his curls, he gave a short laugh, though his green hues remained as cold as ice.
“Actually, I’m afraid that I have already forgotten.”
