School had just been left out a while a go when a boy had came to the shrine. He had been in the place for who knows how long by now. He wasn't sure at all himself, he just knew that it's been a while as he was actually able to get through five chapters of his books without any interruption. Then again this was a shrine, his sanctuary as it is the only place where not too many came. It might be because people are starting to give up on religion though. Since there are better technology these days that faith doesn't exactly mattered anymore. After all, faith was for the people who were too weak to do their own work. Now that everyone can easily do their own work with improved technology, faith was no longer needed. Still, that didn't meant that there were no more religious people. Since it was those people that were the ones that had stopped the destruction of the shrine a few years back.
In the shrine, on the hard wooden floor laid a boy who had glasses in front of his blue eyes. The eyes reflected the text of the book that he was holding. Next to him were textbooks from his school as he hasn't even touched his homework yet. He figured, he'll do it once he felt like it. It was only homework, and even more was that it was most likely easy. After all, the teachers he had were easy. It was strange though, he had expected another spirit to bother him today seeing that this was a shrine but no one had bothered him. Why? The boy shook his head at that question. It was best to take it for granted instead of being paranoid. That way he can enjoy this small peace that he was given. After all, wishes that actually come true are very hard to come by and he didn't want this one to go to waist.
Slowly, he dropped the book onto the floor as it made a small echo in the room. There really wasn't much to do today. Not that he had anything much to do anyway. He rarely ever had homework that he didn't finish in school and it was even more rare for him to actually care about it enough to try to finish it. Maybe that was why, he didn't exactly got into the top five but was instead, in ninth place. Oh well, like it matters, he wasn't going to do anything big with his life anyway. That would mean that he would have to interact with those loud annoying people who just keep on arguing with themselves to the point where they probably wouldn't even know what they were arguing about in the next five seconds. It was just so aggravating that he didn't even know how they were able to deal with themselves. Perhaps that should be one of the wonders of the world.
The silence ended though as his cellphone started to vibrate against the hard wood. 'Great' he sarcastically spat in his mind as he picked it up to see who it was. Not so surprisingly it was his parents, the only people that would call him. He put it back down though and turned it to silent. Thanks to them his mood was ruined. Why was he not surprised, after all they were the same ones that have been trying to control his life for a while now. A sigh escaped his lips, it doesn't even matter now. He could careless anyway. Since he doesn't even know what he wants to do with his life other than interacting with spirits. It was the only thing that was interesting as not many people can do it. That was the fun thing in life, or at least the closest to fun as he can get anyway. Which was saying a lot seeing that there were entertainment all around him from people, to games to books. Although, only the last one somewhat satisfied him. Now that he had thought about it, he had never played a game in his life before. Since none of the kids would play with him and he simply thought they were stupid. None of the games would help them later in life anyway.
His head turned towards the windows as he stared at it. His eyes gazed at the birds that too flight from the outside. Today was another boring day. Maybe he should just go home, do his homework and then go to sleep. There wasn't much to do anyway. As he got up though, the door opened.

Zain stood within the woods, his hands hanging loosely by his side. His jacket flapping lightly in the wind as the blood dripped from his finger tips, once again no emotion on his face as he stared down at the body of the three shinigami. [red] “I gave you a chance to run,”[/red] he muttered under his breath as he shock his hands. Droplets of blood jumping forth and splashing against the floor, the bodies would soon erode away and that would remove any trace of them.
With that he turned on his heel, he had no real reason to be in this area. Apart from he had nothing to do, the Espada were a pain and many of the shinigami he met were of no match for him. Once again making his exist stance meaningless, which was something he did not like at all. With light steps he walked through the woods, listening to the animals around him. All calm and relaxed, yet they did not know what terror walked beside them. Zain was not someone to be messed with, he was the Primero. Not just for any reason, he was most likely the strongest Arrancar out there. Very few could stand to his might, and those that could seemed to hide. Which was a pain and an annoyance at the same time.
Slowly he marched through the woods, soon his eyes caught a small building. A somewhat shrine, religion!? Bah! No god would be able to save the humans from what the Arrancar had planned, they had to rely on faith for they had no power of their own. Humans, truly weak.
With that he approached the door, laying his hand on the handle he felt the coldness of the building. It seemed it was not used a great deal. With the thought he pushed open the door, the light shinning behind him the room was soon filled with light. With that Zain caught the sight of a young boy, another human. Most of them couldn’t even see Zain, there was no point in even killing them, it was a waste of energy.
Yet there was something about this one, Zain’s eyes focused on the boy before him and then spoke with a few light words.
[red] “So child, can you see me?” [/red]
He asked, to a normal human he did not exist. Then to someone that could somehow see him he looked like a normal human, his bone hidden under his clothing. The only thing that gave him away was his energy, which was lightly pulsating around him as he stood in the door way.

The man that was at the door stood out and it wasn't because of his unusual hair color of black and white. No, there was something else about him. He was a spirit, that was for sure as people these days don't wear those kind of clothes. That is unless they were in some kind of anime convention or it was Halloween but neither applied to the situation right now. Even more was that he felt a strange energy around the man that actually made him felt fear. Who was this guy? Was he one of those in black that killed those monsters? He has to be, after all, the man didn't have a chain sticking out of his chest. If so, then why was he here? Did they have days off or something like adults? Kaito never did exactly got to know them or what they were even called. All he knew was that it was their job to kill those monsters, in a way they were almost like a police force, only they fight monsters and not criminals.
“So child, can you see me?”
The boy nodded at his words as he could not speak. It wasn't that he was mute nor had he lost his voice, it was the fear that had sent the words down his throat. For some reason, there was something about this guy that made him tremble. Hopefully he won't have to see this guy again very soon. He stood there for a moment, his facade was p as usual and he was planning on keeping it that way. Hopefully he would be able to keep it that way or else he might as well just drop to his knees and cower in fear. Just who in the world was this guy? He didn't felt like those people in black robes but then again, he never did see them that often. After all, he only see them when he sees those monsters and that wasn't very often either. It was actually quite rare as he wasn't so sure on where exactly to find them. He just finds them sometimes and that was it.
"Who are you?" he asked as he was curious to who the guy was. He also found the strength to speak again which was quite strange as his body was starting to relax. Perhaps he was starting to get used to the feeling that was coming from the man. The aura that had shot down his spine. It was a good thing that he had taught himself to be cool and collected or at least to look that way. Apparently, drama does pay off sometimes, not much, but it still pays off. Maybe he should act a little more than. Nahh, it wasn't really his thing, he rather read books really.
{Sorry it's short. Kind of brain dead right now.}

Zain spoke his words, yet no words came from the boy. Only a light and simple nod, was he scared? Or was he just the type of child that did not like to talk. Nonetheless, the kid could see him. Which in itself was amazing, perhaps the boy possessed a power? If the child could see him it meant he had an above average spiritual energy which normally leads to a power of some kind.
With that Zain stepped into the small shrine, getting a shiver down his spine. It was weird how people could worship something they could not see, or have no prove it actually existed. The human race had faith in the somewhat incorporeal being, a being they would on many occasions call ‘God.’ Now inside the building he took a step to his left, leaving the doorway open for the human to leave. However, Zain would remember this one’s face. A human that could see him always perked his interest in one way or another, even if he did not allow others to know it.
"Who are you?"
Zain let a small smile break across his face, his white teeth showing as he lifted his hand and ran it though his hair. So the boy was not going to run away? This was excellent. [red] “Me? My name is Zain, may I have your name?”[/red] He asked with a polite tone, after all...this person may come in use. With that Zain took a step towards the human and with that had his eyes run up and down the boy, the first thing that struck Zain as being odd was his hair colour. Zain was not one to comment with his black and white hair, yet it was not common to meet someone with light blue hair.
[red] “So how long have you been able to see people like me?” [/red]
Zain asked, his smile fading away and his face once again being washed clean of emotion. His hands hanging loosely by his side, the stains of blood still on his hands as he stood still awaiting as answer. A single droplet falling from his left hand, splashing silently on the floor. Most of the blood had been removed, yet there were still traces. A pain, but it was something Zain would have to deal with.
His eyes focused on the boy once more as he looked him other, he could feel the spiritual energy. Yet it was not a humans nor shinigami, the texture of it told Zain all he needed to know. The boy was a quincy, yet no cross could be seen. Perhaps the boy did not know of his power? Or he could manifest a bow without the cross...Zain was unsure but soon he would find out. [/size]

Kaito stared at the man for a moment as he stepped to the left. Was he going to let him go out? Why? No, now was not the time to run away. He was not one to turn away, call it stubborn but he never was one to back down. He was never one to back down, it was one of the surprising thing about the boy seeing how he was always so quiet. It sometimes amazes himself as when he sets his mind on something, he will not stop until he achieve the goal. What's his goal now? To find out everything he can about this guy. He wanted to know what was going on in his mind and everything that is about him. It was a rare chance to be able to find someone like him, a spirit that took human form but not have a chain. No, that was only an excuse, he had saw those before. The real reason was his power, the tremendous aura around him that makes the boy want to fall down onto his knees. It was amazing that he was actually still up right now.
“Me? My name is Zain, may I have your name?”
Zain, that didn't sound like a Japanese name. Perhaps the spirit was American. Well not that it really mattered where he was born though. As the man asked for his name with a small smile on his face, the boy noticed something. On the hand was blood, the man had killed someone. He didn't know who but he knew that he didn't want to join the person. He still had a life to live albeit that half of the life would be boring but ti was still his life and he would like to keep it. He had to fight the urge to shake at the sight of blood, he had no problems with blood with it was a bloody nose or just blood in general. The problem he have is that the man in front of him was a killer."Kaito." he stated as he only gave out his first name. The man did the same thing to him after all.
“So how long have you been able to see people like me?”
Looks like Zain had an interest in him, as well. That's good, that meant that chances are he might be able to live for a while. Even though it was a small chance, at least it was still a chance. Yes, he had to think optimistic here before he gives up. Yay, something that he was not good at. What he didn't get was why the man was interested in him. He saw spirits before but they weren't exactly interested in how long he was able to see spirits. It felt strange but he knew that it was best to try to prolong his life, then he'll spent some time on trying to figure that out. Right now wasn't exactly a good time after all. Especially with the fact that he had no weapon with him other than books to throw but he doubt it would hurt the guy.
"A while." he replied back as he stood there. He was able to see them for a while now, he could barely remember the exact date of when he first laid eyes on a spirit. For all he knew, he could actually had been able to see them but never knew that. He wouldn't exactly be amazed though as i could be genetic. Genetics right now was the only explanation he could come up with even though there were holes in them. His eyes was till laid on the man's blood but he knew it was best not to stare at it too much. Finding no other place to stare at, he decided to stare at the man's whole body.

"Kaito."
Zain nodded at the words, a nice name. It seemed to roll off of the tongue quite well, however Zain did raise a brow when he thought about the name. Didn’t it mean kite, not a very strong name to have. However, it was not the name of the person that determined their strength. Zain would not be as blind as to see the boy as weak just due to his name.
With that Zain asked his second question, catching the boy looking down at his hand he too had his eyes fall to his hand. A sigh leaving his lips as he saw the blood, perhaps next time he will clean it off fully instead of just trying to flick the blood off. The boy seemed deep in thought; perhaps the blood had shaken him up a little? How sad, the boy couldn’t even take a little blood. At least, that was how it seemed to Zain.
"A while."
Zain nodded at the words, he didn’t seem to like talking. However, Zain was getting the answers to the questions he wanted. Which was not a problem, as long as he got the information he wanted he would have few problems with this human. With a faint smile he walked towards one of the many windows of the shrine, leaning against the windowsill Zain looked back at the kid. There were many like him out there, humans with the ability to see spirits. Most possessing other powers, however this boy seemed to show none apart from seeing spirits. However, Zain was sure he was a Quincy, the type of energy he had just made it seem that way.
[red] “Ever heard of Quincys?”[/red]
He asked bluntly as he turned his head to look out of the window, watching the trees sway lightly in the wind. The bird flying from branch to branch, their songs filling the air. Soon all this would be gone, soon the Arrancar would have total domination. Leaning his head from the right to the left he clicked his neck, letting out a relived sigh he closed his eyes for a moment as he thought to himself. He had a second question he wanted to ask the boy, lifting his hand he poked himself in the chest with his thumb.
[red] “Do you know what I am?” [/red]
He asked with a light tone, most people would either try to kill him or run away if they knew what he was. Yet this boy did not, it was either he did not know. Or he was very cocky and thought he stood a chance, which Zain doubted. However, he knew nothing was impossible. [/size]

“Ever heard of Quincys?”
Quincy? What's a Quincy? Was that some kind of spirit terms for human? No, that wouldn't be right, spirits were once humans after all so there was no point. Perhaps it's a term for people who are able to see spirit. That one would be the most logical of them all. It was also his best bet since he had pride. He hated when he didn't know something and made sure that he knew it or at least appear to know it. Okay, so if Quincy are people that can see spirits, then he would be right, if it isn't, that would mean that he would make a fool of himself. Which one should he take? Might as well say 'yes' than, either way he would learn of what it is and if he guessed it correctly, that would mean that would mean that he would be able to keep his reputation even if it is for human. He was actually very lost when it came to spirits. It was one of the curse of having to learn everything about spirits by himself.
"They're humans who can see spirits...right?" he asked? He wasn't exactly sure and he might as well admit it now. Yet, why did he try to answer it anyway? Heh, it was probably just a habit of his. He never really liked to ask questions after all. He stood there anyway though and waited for him to say something, anything at all that would answer his question or answer. It was hard to tell which one it was. What made him curious though was why the guy was asking him so many questions. It didn't make sense to why at all. Oh well, whatever, at least this way he had something interesting to do.
“Do you know what I am?”
That was quite an easy question to answer. The man was a spirit, what else could he be? The man even asked how long he can see spirits and now he ask him if he knew what he was? The question made completely no sense at all compared to all the other ones. He wasn't so sure on how to answer the question and so he stood there for a while. Was this some kind of trick question? If so then what was suppose to be the answer? There was no way this guy was human, at least not with the clothes that he was wearing. That is unless the man was some kind of actor for some kind of old Japanese movie but he highly doubted it. There was no way the thing on his hand was some kind of red paint or ketchup. It had to be blood, there was no way around it.
"A spirit." he answered as it was the only thing that he could come up with. After all he doubt that there was some kind of a third thing like an elf or a dwarf. After all spirits were one thing, but other races besides humans are just out of the question. Even with everything that he saw in his life, some things are just an impossibility. One of them would have to be the fact that there ware other races besides humans, spirits and whatever those monsters are. Sure there were the guys in black robes but they must had been some kind of police squad for spirits. After all, it seems like only some people can see them or else there would be news of crazy people in black cloak slashing thin air.

"They're humans who can see spirits...right?"
Zain smiled and nodded at the boy, the smile was small yet it would not be impossible to pick up if the boy had keen eyes. It seemed that the boy was guessing, two things gave it away to Zain. The first was the boy said asked it, he didn’t state it. Showing that he was unsure and asking for conformation, something that Zain may give him. The second was that the boy had missed out a lot about them, after all...they were humans that could see spirits, but there was a lot more about them that he didn’t seem to know.
So it seemed the boy was a Quincy, his energy gave that away. Yet his lack of knowledge told a different story, was it possible for the boy not to know of his power? To what Zain knew and had heard the Quincy power ran down the family, normally they taught each other? So what where the chances that the boy had this power and no one in his family did...then again, it could be his family do but the boy has not awoken the power. However he was about mid-teens, surely he should have gained the power by then. There were too many questions for Zain to come to an accurate answer, he only hoped that soon he would gain the answers he wanted.
[red] “Yes, but that is not the best bit about them.” [/red]
He answered, making sure not to give away too much. He wanted to see if the boy would seek for more answers or push it aside, Zain wanted to know how this one ticked. With that answered he moved onto his next question, watching the boy closely to see his reaction to the question. His stone like eyes watched Kaito, he seemed a bit more at ease with this question. So perhaps he knew what Zain was and did not fear it? Then again, why did he seem so shaken up at the start.
So now Zain stood there, time begun to fly by as Zain waited in silence. Not wishing to push the boy his eyes once again wandered outside, taking in the lush grass and trees. Something Hueco mundo lacked, the lush grass, the sense of life and vitality. "A spirit."
Zain nodded and waited for the boy to state in further detail, yet no words came out. He held out his hand and waved it a little as if to urge the boy to talk more. With that he allowed a small yawn to run past his lips, lift his left hand he covered his mouth until the yawning stopped. With that he locked eyes with the boy and spoke.
[red] “They call me an Arrancar...which is a spirit...a bit like those stupid ones that eat people...just...evolved.” [/red]
Zain said with a light smile, making sure to put emphasis on the word evolved as he spoke it. He wanted it to seem natural, not something that occurred by tampering with nature. Zain patted his legs and pushed himself away from the windowsill, [red] “I am one of the bad-guys.”[/red] He said with a smile as he took a step towards the boy, hoping to see how he would react with the new information. Then again, perhaps he would be believe it. [/size]

“Yes, but that is not the best bit about them.”
Apparently he was wrong, he only got a small portion. So then what was it about quincies. What made them different from him? Were they more powerful or were they able to have powers to fight the monsters? Did that meant that quincies were the people in black robes? So many questions flashed through his mind as he stared at the man, not even caring about the smile. He wanted to know, he needed to know. It was one of the curiosity that would most likely get him back later on but he could hardly care about that. He yearned to know as it was one step closer to finding out the truth. In all honesty he could care less about the truth. It was simply an excuse, the truth was, he just wanted something to enjoy himself. No, even then that would still be a lie. Maybe all he wanted was to be different from the normal idiotic people and be able to know things that they would never find out. That way, he would never truly be compared to them.
Still he waited for the guy as the man who stood there as he tried to figure out what a quincy could be. He didn't have much to go on which only made the possibility pretty much limitless which only annoys him even more. It irks him on how the man barely gave him information as if he was playing with him. Still he had to keep his cool if he was going to find a way to get the man to tell him. If he acts to curious, Zain might play around with him a little more and he hated being used like this. So right now he should just go ahead and ask but make sure that he doesn't seem to excited. No, it was better not to ask, maybe he'll ask later but not right now. Right now he wanted to try to answer the second question and see if he got it right or wrong.
His eyes trailed the man as he walked away from the window after his second answer. He made sure to find everything that was about this man. Even more though was that he waited to see if he had answered it correctly. It felt as if he was being quizzed on something that he doesn't know and no one had ever taught him it. Then again he pretty much was but strangely it wasn't from his teacher. Instead it was from a stranger but that wasn't the biggest thing. Perhaps the biggest thing was that he was able to think rationally when a killer is close to him, most likely due to the fact that he hasn't done anything to give him a threat.
“They call me an Arrancar...which is a spirit...a bit like those stupid ones that eat people...just...evolved.”
What? Bit like those stupid ones that eat people? He tried to remember anything that would fit the category and only one came into his mind. Was he talking about the monsters that sometimes appear out of no where? If so then what does he mean by evolve? Spirits can not evolve, they don't have dna so there was no way they could change overtime. It was a scientific impossibility which would normally be a good answer for the boy. Only this case was different as spirits was something that was an impossibility but yet they still exist anyway. Even more was that it would make sense why there was blood on his hand, it could be from a human. He wasn't so sure on what the evolution form would eat really but it seems like humans was the best bet and guess what? Kaito was a human.
“I am one of the bad-guys.”
The boy stood there and tried to fight the urge to roll his eyes. He figured that out already even though he didn't get the last two questions correctly. Really he wasn't a kid even if he was a teenager and most likely a lot younger than the man. He wasn't so sure how spirits age but the movies makes it look like they never do age by appearance. His eyes narrowed though as he knew that he was in trouble now, yet he didn't find himself shaking. Perhaps it was because part of him would think that the people in black robe would save him.
"I've met worse." he stated as he tried to stay calm."After all, humans are worse than you arrancars."

Zain replied with his answers, yet the boy did not seem too amused or impressed by the words Zain spoke. Then again as many have said in the past, simple mind. Simple pleasures. Perhaps he was not one of those people that got a kick out of knowledge, it was possible that he was one of those children that just spent time on the machines that plays games...a PC? A Play-station? They had names similar to that, at least from what Zain could remember.
As Zain answered the questions there seemed to be no words, the boy seemed to care little. However, Zain got a different feeling. If they boy did not care he would have left by now, yet he was still here standing before Zain. One thing that got Zain thinking was how the boy seemed not to care when Zain stated he was one of the bad-guys. Perhaps the boy had already guessed it, or he was just a very skilled actor.
"I've met worse."
The boy said with a calm and collected tone of voice, yet Zain raised an eyebrow. He thought he had met worse? The kid didn’t even know how bad Zain was yet he still said he had met worse. Zain clenched his jaw, the temptation to cut off the boy’s arm was getting high. Very high, yet that would not benefit either. Zain may get a few kicks from it for a few seconds. Yet they would soon die away and that would leave Zain stained with blood, something he did not want.
Also the screams of a young human had begun to get on his nerves as of late.
"After all, humans are worse than you arrancars."
Zain sighed at that, [red] “You passed the line there kid.”[/red] Zain said as he lifted his right hand and gripped his weapon, unsheathing it he pointed the blade towards the boy. The light shined up the blade as Zain pointed it towards the boy’s throat; the blade was about a foot away. Even so, Zain could take a step forward and pierce his throat. That would cause the voice box to collapse and there would be no yells and screams, a silent death.
[red] “Tell me, why are humans so much worse?” [/red]
He asked as he slowly begun to drain the energy from the boy, not to the extent where it would hurt. However, as long as the boy did not have an insane amount of spiritual energy he should feel drained. The only other way he could get out of it, was if his body had such a small amount of spiritual energy that it would not matter if it was drained.
[red] “Can humans weaken you by simply looking at you?” [/red]
He asked as he tried to pull the energy from the young boy, he wanted him to feel the drain. Then realise humans would never be equal to Arrancar, even if they evolved for a billion years. The gap in power was to large, forever growing. Zain kept his blade up pointing at the boy’s throat, ready to strike encase he had some form of weapon. Now if he attempted to run, that was a different story. Zain would allow him to run, he would sheath his weapon and then give chase. Showing the boy how an Arrancar did not lose stamina as easily as a human, once again showing the superiority of Arrancar. [/size]

Hmmm? Zain seemed to be getting angry at his remarks. How come? Was it really that bad of an insult? After all it did make sense if one looks at it in a logical way. If he was an evolved version of those monsters who comes from spirits then humans were truly stronger. After all, humans have to die for there to be spirits and so if here were no humans, there would be no arrancars. Shouldn't he figured that out or maybe the man just rather not think of it that way. He wasn't so sure, but he stood there and watched him. His eyes unwavering as he knew that so far he was winning in this word game. Although he wondered if that was a good thing right now. After his second remark, the arrancar sigh and raised his blade.
“You passed the line there kid.”
He stood there, his eyes still unchanging. He would not bow to the man because of his weapon. The fact that he had drew the weapon meant that he had no way around that. Humans were much worse than those arrancars. Why? The answer was simple, humans were the worst kind in this world. They were worse than those monsters, worse than whatever Zain would throw at him. How was he sure? Well, the fact that he had seen them so many times that it made him despise them, the dark side to humanity. That was why he wasn't scared...or at least that's what he would like to think. Truth was, he was scared, he just refused to show it. He refused to show weakness, maybe it was because being around his parents and always arguing with them had made him this way. Then again it could be because of something else. Either way he didn't care, he just didn't want to back down.
The thought made him a chuckle a bit. Don't get him wrong, he wasn't crazy nor was he laughing at the man in front of him. He was laughing at himself. He called humanity the worst but yet he was one of them. He was a human no matter how much he tries to get away from it. The idea was almost too funny not to laugh. This hypocrisy that runs through him. The fear that surges through his body but yet he was still trying to act brave. He was still trying to keep his character, that is if this was his character. He wasn't so sure anymore because he had always lie and acted that he wasn't so sure what he was like anymore. It was just so funny that he could keep those few chuckles.
“Tell me, why are humans so much worse?”
The boy stared at him, his eyes actually showing amusement. Even in the face of death, his eyes didn't show fear. Yet he simply stood there for a moment, as he stared at the man."You really don't know do you?" he asked as if he was trying to get him to see the reason why. Almost like a teacher, he tried to teach Zain by letting him think on his own for a bit. He soon gave out his answer though."It is because, without us, you would never exist. Without humans, you would never evolve. You need us but we would never need you." he answered. That was the reason why humans were worse than arrancars. The logical view but then again, there was another list of things that made them worse.
He stood there and his eyes not even looking at the blade. If he did, the more fear would surge through him and he wasn't so sure on how long he could keep this mask up. Which was strange seeing that he had pretty much kept it up all his life. As long as he could remember, he had always have this persona. After all, he wasn't so sure on how he acted when he was a little kid. Those memories lost, replaced by the anger and hatred towards his parents and just humans in general. Yet at the same time he wanted them to see what he was really like. He truly was a hypocrite.
“Can humans weaken you by simply looking at you?”
What was this? He started to feel weak. His stance slowly wavered as he tried to keep his head straight. He wasn't so sure what this was but he had to focus right now. He'll figure the trick out later. He shook his head lightly to get him to focus and to answer Zain's question. No, wait, they actually can. By authority and fear, humans can weaken each other by a glance."Actually yes. With power and they could do much worse. You arrancars kill and end our misery. Humans make us live through each day of torture. We're the worse creatures in this world."Yes, 'we're' he was one of them after all."You have an excuse to kill, you have to in order to live. Humans kill each other for fun. They have no mercy. Forever hurting everyone around them...after all it is the only thing they know how to do."

Zain raised his eyebrow as the boy let out a small laugh, this was strange. A kid had a blade pointing at him, and all he could do was laugh? Was he using it to hide fear? Or had Zain said something that had made him laugh, well...Zain was no comedian so he assumed it was to hide fear. Then again, Zain could be missing something. So he waited to hear the boy talk, to hear him explain himself.
"You really don't know do you?"
Zain took a step forward bringing the blade mere inches from the boy’s flesh, [red] “If I did do you think i would ask?” [/red] He said with a relaxed tone, tilting his head to the side. He was normally quite laid back, but when a human scum-bag could say that humans were worse than Arrancar it did not put him in a good mood.
"It is because, without us, you would never exist. Without humans, you would never evolve. You need us but we would never need you."
Zain raised another eyebrow at that, so that was his reason why. Zain took a step back and for a moment stared at the boy as if he was a nutcase, [red] “That is your reasoning? So because Arrancar need you, it means you are worse than Arrancar...HA...what about Oxygen? Humans cannot live without Oxygen right? So does that mean the Oxygen is worse than humans?” [/red] Zain said with a smile, running his hand through his hair he lifted his blade once more and took the position he had once more.
His body moving fast yet effortlessly, he wasn’t going to let the boy catch him off guard. With that Zain begun to drain away slowly at the boy, watching as he begun to sway slightly. It seemed like it was taking effect, it seemed to take less time than Zain thought. Perhaps the boy had a reasonable amount of spiritual energy, just didn’t know how to use it. A smile crossed Zain’s lips as he watched the boy shake his head as if trying to shake off the fatigue he was feeling.
"Actually yes. With power and they could do much worse. You arrancars kill and end our misery. Humans make us live through each day of torture. We're the worse creatures in this world. You have an excuse to kill, you have to in order to live. Humans kill each other for fun. They have no mercy. Forever hurting everyone around them...after all it is the only thing they know how to do."
Zain heard the first word of the speech and let out a sigh, if it was built on the same grounds as his first comment he was going to kill the kid for being naive. There was one bit that caught Zain’s ears, you have to in order to live. Is that so? He smiled at that, how did the boy know this? Had he spoken to a hollow before? Watched them and come to the assumption.
[red] “Good point, but Arrancar come from humans...So an Arrancar can do all those things, torture, kill for fun. We can also make it much more painful and pull it out longer, torture you for four days, then you feel the welcoming embrace of death. You want to let go and let the clutches of death take you away from all the pain. Then the next thing you feel is your energy returning as we get you ready for the next four days. [/red] He said with a light smile, lifting his hand he waved off to the boy as if batting him away.
[red] “Your points would only have a chance against another human, someone of equal intelligence.”[/red] Zain said with a slight disgust as he sheathed his weapon. Not to amused by the words of the boy, [red] “you should try to read up on the Quincy though.”[/red] He said with a smile as he returned to the window and simply watched the brids in the tree branches. He had his fun and games with the kid, slowly the drain begun to fade off. He had no reason to kill the kid, nor to drain his energy. The talk was in fact amusing, much better than any conversation he could get with a normal Arrancar. [/size]

“That is your reasoning? So because Arrancar need you, it means you are worse than Arrancar...HA...what about Oxygen? Humans cannot live without Oxygen right? So does that mean the Oxygen is worse than humans?”
Touche. That was the first thing that came into Kaito's mind. Yes, it was true, humans can not live without oxygen. Maybe oxygen was worse, after all it, is the thing that brought humans into this world. Yet, it would keep on doing it anyway. Perhaps it was because it did not know the things that humans can do. He wasn't exactly sure, he was never one for philosophy after all. He never really cared what humans think about each other. That was why instead of using what he thinks, he had used facts, cold hard evidence that can never be erased. Was Zain the same? He didn't exactly use an opinion but instead uses a fact right back at him.
Hmph, then what was the worse thing in this world? Was it the thing that had started this chain of effects? Maybe that was it, maybe whatever created this world was the worst of all. Well, whatever it was died though so it doesn't matter. What mattered was the things that are bad right now. Not in the sense of a villain really, in this world there is no black and white after all. There was only black, as everyone was evil one way or another. The man in front of him probably knew that too. Yet it was kind of funny to see how one simply statement made him acted almost like a kid with his reply. It appears that arrancars weren't so different from humans after all.
“Good point, but Arrancar come from humans...So an Arrancar can do all those things, torture, kill for fun. We can also make it much more painful and pull it out longer, torture you for four days, then you feel the welcoming embrace of death. You want to let go and let the clutches of death take you away from all the pain. Then the next thing you feel is your energy returning as we get you ready for the next four days. "
At the end of the sentence, the spirit removed the sword away from his neck. He inwardly sighed in relief. Thank god that thing was away from him. Still he continued to look at the man and tried to remember what it was that he had stated. Yes, but they can't do it for the most idiotic of reasons. The thought made him remember Minato, the boy that had tried to so hard to fit into both worlds. Only, there was no way, you either fit into one or the other. After all, humans did not accept him because he was different. Perhaps it was out of fear that they had shunned him even though he was so young. It was no wonder why the boy had gone missing with that after all.
He stood still where he was though, mainly because he couldn't exactly find a good way to move. He was amazed that he could actually still be standing right now. All he wanted to do was collapse but he had to stop himself. Curse the habit of trying not to show any weakness. Especially when he had already showed it. Really, being stubborn was quite tiring. His eyes was still kept on the man though as he was not going to look away. He refused to look away, especially with the fact that he wanted to know more. A race of spirits that were pretty much like humans. It was almost amusing, he wanted to know what they saw human as. What they saw him as.
“Your points would only have a chance against another human, someone of equal intelligence.”
At that, the boy wasn't so sure if that was a compliment, statement or insult. Mainly because it seems that he had lost but even more was that he didn't like to be compared to a human. He didn't like knowing that he was one of them even though he knew that he was. No matter how much he tried to get away from them, he never can. It was almost like a chain really that would always bring him back to them. It irks him really and made him wanted to yell out that he can see spirits sometime but then he was also scared. He was scared that they would shun him like they did with Minato. Really, he can never make up his mind no matter how he tried.
“you should try to read up on the Quincy though.”
"I would but I doubt humans would have information on them." he started. He really did as he would had probably heard about it somewhere."So would you care to enlighten me?" he asked. He truly was interested about these people, that was why he yearned to know more. Yet at the same time, he wanted to learn about them slowly, or else one day when he knew everything about them, they would be like humans to him; boring and repetitive. Right now though curiosity was winning over that fear.

"I would but I doubt humans would have information on them." Zain smiled at the words of the boy, his eyes still following the small flock of birds outside. Each one singing their own song, yet they were all so similar. With a small sigh Zain turned to the boy and spoke a few words, [red] “Giving up before you have even tried?”[/red] Zain said with a slight tone of disappointment on his words. He was sure somewhere in the dark corners of this town there was some information of the Quincy, it just depended on how much the boy wanted to know about them.
[red] “I can assure you this town will have some information on the Quincy.”[/red] Zain said, confidence in his words as he begun to tap his fingers along the windowsill. With that he heard the next few words to leave to young child’s mouth, "So would you care to enlighten me?"
He gave a faint laugh at those words, did the boy think he would simply give up information. Zain smiled at the words and lifted a single finger, his right index finger and pointed at the boy. [red] “Nice try...but I know the law of equivalent exchange.”[/red] He let out a small smile as he thought for a moment and then spoke.
[red] “Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost.” [/red]
Zain said as if quoting it from a book, which he was. The book he read about twenty or so years ago, but those words were burnt into his memory. [red] “You are part of humankind...so if you want the information...you have to give me something in return, and I want it first.” [/red] Zain said with a sly smile as he looked towards the boy.
[red] “But I don’t think you have anything to offer me...unless...Nah...forget it.” [/red] He said trailing off, walking towards the door. With that he turned on his heel at the door, [red] “So anything to offer? Because if not then I may as well take my leave.” [/red] He said with a smile, closing his eyes he quickly spoke once more.
[red] “Also...if any hollow or Arrancar comes after you, tell them Zain wants you alive...They should leave you be.” [/red] He said, making sure to make the word ‘should’ stick out in the sentence. Even if he was seen as the strongest Arrancar not all hollow or Arrancar would follow his word, the ones that did not enjoy their life would be the ones to go against his words. [/size]

“I can assure you this town will have some information on the Quincy.”
Like a child he wanted to pout at Zane's words. Kaito knew that it mean the was going to have to look all over town. That wasn't exactly the problem, he would be more than glad to go all over town if it meant that he could get away from his parents even for a second. The problem was what excuse would he have. Maybe he could just lie and say it was for a report. No, that wouldn't work, he would need paper for that. Oh well, right now he should just try to find out what he can about humans who can see spirits. Perhaps one of them would be a quincy and he could try to get in contact with them. He wasn't so sure if the person would be in this town though seeing that it wasn't exactly big which meant the chances to meet people who can see spirits were small. It was most likely even a smaller chance to see a quincy.
“Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost.”
Yes, the law of that humans obey. To obtain food they must give up money, to obtain money they must give up their time and energy to earn it. Yet at the same time there were things that had broke the law such as those who were born into a rich family. What did they give up? Not seeing their parents? That was a blessing and that meant that they got double. Sure they usually go to a private school or tutored but that meant that they wouldn't have to be around people much. Either way, they get everything but yet they lost nothing. He would had stated so but decided that he had enough philosophy for the day. Right now he was more interested in quincies. Although part of him wondered why arrancars would obey such a law when it had hit him. They were once humans after all, it would only make sense.
Then it hit him, did the arrancars have their society similar to humans? What was it like? What was their world like? If they must have humans for food then do they sell humans there? Was it possible to sell humans? If so then it would make sense on some kidnaps that were never solved. This was really starting to get interesting. He should try to find their city someday. Who knows, maybe they might even live in the same place as humans, that would make the jobs of hunting food down easier. After all it was the same reason why humans have farms, maybe cities were the arrancars' farm.
“You are part of humankind...so if you want the information...you have to give me something in return, and I want it first.”
Now Zane was almost like a businessman. Oh well, whatever, he didn't have much to give anyway. He was a kid, he didn't have much money after all so it didn't matter. He simply stood there for a moment and watched the man, his eyes following his every movement. Part of humankind huh? God he hated that line right there but he didn't deny it. He was a human, no matter how much he didn't want to. Beggars really can't be choosers.
“So anything to offer? Because if not then I may as well take my leave.” the spirit asked as he got near the door.
The boy simply shook his head, he had nothing to offer. He doubt that anything he had would interest him. So he stood there and watched the man as he got ready to leave. Yet it was strange, the idea that information leaving so easily and he didn't even give chase. He didn't feel any remorse towards it though. Perhaps it was because this way his interest in these people would last longer. This way he would be a little more entertained. Who knows, maybe if he was lucky, he would never find out everything that was about them. Then he would always try to obtain information until he dies, only to still not gain all the knowledge. Even then though, he would not regret it because at least it had kept him busy.
“Also...if any hollow or Arrancar comes after you, tell them Zain wants you alive...They should leave you be.”
Should. That was the key word wasn't it? Still he was going to keep that in mind. If the monster. Cross that. Hollows and Arrancars chase him, he'll mention Zane's name. If that doesn't work, then he'll just run."Thank you. And what should I pay for this information?" he inquired although it was actually just a small joke.
